USGS - Water

Texas USGS Activities- USGS Programs in Texas include online assessment of near-realtime hydrologic conditions, water-quality monitoring, mapping partnerships, and other activities.

High Plains Regional Ground Water (HPGW) Study- The NAWQA Program builds upon an existing base of water-quality studies of the USGS, as well as those of other Federal, State, and local agencies.

Texas A&M Research and Extension Center at Lubbock- Home of the Texas AgriLife Research and Extension Station at Lubbock and the Texas Cooperative Extension district office for the south plains of Texas.

USDA-ARS Bushland SWMRU Newsletter- Semi-annual Soil and Water Management Research Unit newsletter.

ARS News Magazine- U.S. Department of Agriculture's science magazine, published monthly by the Agricultural Research Service.

USDA-ARS Photo Gallery- The Image Gallery is provided as a complimentary source of high quality digital photographs available from the Agricultural Research Service Information Staff.

USDA Photo Center- The Photo Services section of The Photography Center deals with USDA customer requirements for processing and printing of photographic materials.

Kansas Center for Agricultural Resources and the Environment- KCARE was established to coordinate and enhance research, extension and teaching activities pertaining to environmental issues related to agriculture.

Texas Water Resources Center- The Texas Water Resources Institute serves as a focal point for water-related research at Texas universities, encouraging discussion of statewide issues through meetings and multi-university studies

Texas Tech Water Resources Center- The Texas Tech WRC's research activities focus on current water issues of regional importance to the Texas High Plains and encompass state, national, and international water issues that are of common concern.

KSU Irrigation Research and Extension- KSU Research and Extension is committed to developing and promoting new irrigation technologies that will be environmentally and economically efficient while conserving and protecting limited water resources.

Ogallala Aquifer Maps and Data- The Ogallala Aquifer Maps & Data website contains aquifer information for 41 Texas counties for a 19 yr study period from 1990-2008. Included are maps and graphs of the water in storage, change in water in storage, saturated thickness & change. (Warning! You will leaving a government website)

USDA Photography Center- The Center's mission is to acquire and make available useful photography depicting general agriculture, health, economics, resource conservation, forestry, and other programs administered by the USDA.

Texas Water Development Board- The Texas Water Development Board’s (TWDB) mission is to provide leadership, planning, financial assistance, information, and education for the conservation and responsible development of water for Texas.

Kansas Water Office- The Kansas Water Office coordinates the Kansas water planning process in concert with the Kansas Water Authority.
